Cllr Kevin Fielding

I first moved to Berkhamsted with my young family in 1999. Like many young parents, I commuted to central London for work and enjoyed many of the benefits of Berkhamsted life without contributing greatly to their provision. After twenty one years working in industry, I took the opportunity that more financial stability provided, to change career and become a science teacher. This allowed me to spend less time away travelling and focus on my growing family. Working locally at Ashlyns School since 2016 has meant I have become more involved with local life, supporting local community activities, joining local sports clubs, and focusing on my passion: preserving, and where possible improving, our local environment. Moving to part-time work has allowed me to spend more time on unpaid work as a Sustainability Officer, a volunteer in local activities, and as a Trustee for Common Land becoming a town councillor in May 2023.
